The Assasination of Guatemalan Migrants in a Small U.S. Town

(Photo of Mount Kisco, N.Y., from West Chester County Historical Society)

Police officer George Bubaris was charged with the death of a Guatemalan migrant in Mount Kisco, N.Y., according to the New York Times.  Rene Javier Perez was a homeless Guatemalan migrant in the community of 10,000 people.  Perez called 911 and Bubaris was the first to arrive at the scene.  Perez was found on the side of the road an hour later with serious internal abdominal injuries.  He had been beaten to death.

Even more disturbing is that fact that other migrants have been killed in the community as well:
The death of Mr. Perez followed at least two other suspicious and unsolved homicides of illegal immigrants in recent years. Santos Bojorguez, 33, was found strangled here in 2003, and Robert Martinez, 42, was killed the same way in 2004.
This case goes to show the sort of terror that migrants in these communities live in.  Worst of all they don't have the voice to defend themselves and as a result these murders go unpunished.  I pray for justice in the case of these three men.

wether ilegal or legal they are human and as we want to be treated, treat each  other  the   same.

I completely agree.  The humanity of migrants is getting lost in the U.S. migration debate.
